Caló de ses Egües

Caló de ses Egos o ses Egües is situated at two kilometres from Cala d'Or.

This very small sandy beach is surrounded by hotels that were built nearby, and this is why the access from the residential village of Calonge is quite difficult. You have to pass through the hotel to reach this sandy area.

About thousand guests stay at the hotels each summer and conquer the very small Caló de ses Egües (which is 20 metres long and 55 metres large). Due to the fact that it is so crowded, any corner of this narrow sea inlet, like medium-high cliffs, are used as solarium or diving platform. The residents have also made some stairs to reach the sea.

In the narrow entrance of this sea entrance (about 300 metres long) anchoring is possible on a sandy ground with seaweed and some rocks, with a depth that ranges between five and ten metres, although the navigator has to be careful with the wind blowing from the south or southeast. The nearest port facilities are located at Reial Club Nàutic Portopetro, at 1,1 nautical miles.

The accessibility by car is easy to Caló de ses Egos if you follow the large number of signs that indicate how to reach the free parking area next to this cove. The described characteristics explain that this piece of the coastal area of Santanyí is crowded by local visitors and tourists.
